Search nearby: choose a category (Cleaning, Painting, Moving, Car Detailing) and a service. Prices are shown upfront. 2. Send a request: pick your address and time. Blik matches you with an available nearby provider. 3. Provider confirms: the provider reviews and accepts in the app. Your card is charged at this point. 4. Track in real time: follow the job from confirmed → on the way → done, with live tracking and chat in the app. 5. Confirm and release: after the job, you confirm the work and payment is released to the provider. If something is wrong, you can report it before releasing payment. Why customers use Blik: upfront prices (the same live catalog the app charges from), vetted providers (reviewed by Blik before they can take jobs, rated by real customers after every visit), live tracking, and pay-when-it's-done protection. ## Frequently asked questions **How do I book a service?** Open the Blik app, pick a service (Cleaning, Painting, Moving or Car Detailing), set your address and a time, and we'll match you with an available local pro. Your card is charged only once a pro accepts, and the money is released to them only after you confirm the job. **When am I charged?** Your card is authorized when you book, charged when a provider accepts, and the payment is held and only released to the provider after the work is completed and you confirm it. If something's wrong, you can report it before releasing payment. **How do I cancel a booking?** Open the order from the Home screen or your Orders list and tap Cancel. If the provider hasn't started, the authorization is released automatically. Blik does not currently charge a cancellation fee. **How do I become a provider?** Tap "Become a Bliker" in the app or on this site to sign up, set your services and availability, and connect a payout account. **Trust & safety:** every provider is reviewed by Blik before joining, payments are held securely until you confirm the work, and you can report or block anyone from within the app. For urgent safety concerns, email support@theblik.ca with "URGENT" in the subject. ## Become a Bliker (providers) Blik is for independent service professionals in Toronto & the GTA. Apply on the web at https://bliknow.com/become-a-bliker/apply (about 3 minutes) or in the app. - What you earn: you keep 85% of every completed booking. Blik's 15% service fee covers customer matching, payment processing, and support. Example: a $95 Standard Clean pays the provider about $81 for 2.5 hours of work (about $32 an hour). There is no subscription and nothing to pay to join. - Payouts: through Stripe Connect, after each completed job is confirmed by the customer (or auto-released 72 hours after completion). - Application: create an account, pick the services you offer from the live catalog, describe your work, set your home-base area, and connect payouts with Stripe. Applications are reviewed by the Blik team before you go live. - Requirements and expectations: providers are independent contractors, not Blik employees, and accept the Provider Agreement (https://bliknow.com/provider-agreement) when they apply. Before going live every provider must: (1) upload a certificate of commercial general liability insurance (at least $2,000,000 per occurrence) with its expiry date, which Blik reviews and approves — providers who joined earlier must comply by October 1, 2026, and an expired certificate removes the provider from the marketplace until renewed; (2) provide tax information (legal name, date of birth, address, SIN or business number, HST status) that Blik encrypts and uses only for Canada Revenue Agency Part XX reporting; (3) submit government ID for review and attest they hold any licence the category legally requires (compulsory trades are not offered on Blik). Insurance certificates and tax information can be submitted on the web at https://bliknow.com/become-a-bliker/apply or in the app. - Jobs arrive in the Blik iPhone app: requests, chat, availability, job tracking, and verification documents are all managed there. Earnings estimate (illustrative, September 2026 catalog): average cleaning job about $149 → provider keeps about $126; painting average about $259 → about $220; car detailing average about $144 → about $122; moving average about $163 → about $139. ## Terms of Service (summary of https://bliknow.com/terms, last updated September 10, 2026) - Blik is a technology platform operated by SoftCode Design Inc. that connects customers with independent third-party service providers. Blik is not the provider of those services; each provider is an independent contractor solely responsible for the quality, safety, and timing of the services they deliver. - Users must be at least 18. Providers apply through onboarding and accept the Provider Agreement; before going live they must have approved liability insurance on file (existing providers by October 1, 2026), provide CRA tax information, and verify identity and licences. Blik may approve, suspend, or revoke a provider's ability to receive bookings. Approval is not a recommendation, endorsement, or warranty. - Bookings and payments: the customer's card is charged when a provider accepts the request; Blik holds the payment and releases the provider's payout after the customer confirms the work, or automatically 72 hours after the provider marks the job complete. Blik's 15% service fee is deducted from the provider's payout. - Cancellations: customers may cancel before the provider is dispatched without charge; Blik does not currently charge a cancellation fee. Refund requests for completed services are reviewed case-by-case (contact within 14 days). - Disputes between users: parties should first try to resolve directly; Blik may, but is not obligated to, mediate, and is not a party to the service contract. - Disclaimers and liability: the service is provided "as is"; Blik's aggregate liability is capped at the greater of 12 months of platform fees paid or CAD $100; no indirect or consequential damages. - Governing law: Ontario and the federal laws of Canada; Ontario courts, except where consumer-protection law gives another forum. - Acceptance is electronic and recorded with the document version (2026-09-10), timestamp, surface, IP, and device type. Changes are announced at least 14 days in advance. Support: support@theblik.ca. Legal: hello@softcodedesign.com. ## Provider Agreement (summary of https://bliknow.com/provider-agreement, last updated September 10, 2026) - Providers are independent contractors: they set their own schedule, may decline any job without penalty, are non-exclusive, use their own tools and vehicle, may not subcontract a Blik job without the customer's consent, and handle their own taxes, HST, WSIB, and insurance. - Services and pricing: Blik lists catalog prices; the provider performs accepted jobs at the listed price. - Fees and payouts: no fee to join; Blik keeps 15% of the booking price; payouts through Stripe Connect after customer confirmation or 72 hours after completion. - Mandatory insurance: commercial general liability of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence; a valid certificate with expiry must be approved before going live; existing providers must comply by October 1, 2026; expired certificates remove the provider from the marketplace until renewed. - Identity and licences: government ID review; providers attest to any legally required licence; compulsory trades are not permitted. - Tax information: under Income Tax Act Part XX, providers give legal name, address, date of birth, SIN or business number, and HST status; Blik encrypts it, uses it only for CRA reporting, and issues an annual statement; refusal prevents approval. - Conduct: on time, in-app communication, job-proof photos, no off-platform payment for Blik jobs, no discrimination or harassment. Ratings are visible; reports may lead to review. - Suspension and removal: written reasons by email; at least 2 weeks' notice for removals over 24 hours except misconduct, safety, or legal reasons; appeal to support@theblik.ca within 14 days. - Disputes and damage: the provider is responsible for damage they cause; Blik may mediate but is not the insurer and may withhold a disputed payout during review. - Either party may terminate at any time; accepted jobs must be completed or cancelled per app rules. Governing law Ontario, courts of Ontario, no arbitration clause. Acceptance is recorded electronically (version 2026-09-10); material changes require re-acceptance with 14 days' notice.
